Telling the Stories
By on April 9, 2008

Remember our Story Tellers booklet? (If not, follow the link to check it out. And let us know if you want one in the mail… We’d be happy to send you one.)
We wanted to give copies of the booklet to all the people whose pictures were featured in it. Jennifer, our Leadership Summit director, gave one to Lucas, the coach pictured on the first page with one of his students. The first words out of his mouth were, “Dave is amazing!” He was, of course, talking about our great-at-design staff member.
Lucas and Jenn went together to give Thabo a booklet. (Thabo’s the student pictured with Lucas.) He was so excited and proud to see his story in print. When his principal saw the booklet, he requested a copy for himself. He shared that he had witnessed a real transformation in Thabo, and that the changes had stuck with him. Thabo is now a very good student who shows up on time, gets good grades, and shows respect to his teachers. The principal showed the booklet to the entire school in an assembly and told all the kids he hoped they’d be just like Thabo.
Everyone has a story. We’re glad we’ve been able to share some of them with those of you who are helping to change countless lives through your prayers and support.
