18 Tons of Books
By on August 15, 2008

Well, we’ve always wanted to be able to hand out books to pastors, church leaders, kids, etc. and now we’ll be able to do just that. Thanks to a gracious donation from Christian Resources International, we received a container full of over 36,000 pounds of Christian books last week. Yes, I said 36 thousand pounds or 18 tons—whichever way puts it more in perspective for you! We’re so excited to begin to figure out strategic ways to get these books into the hands of the South African people.
See photos of us unloading the container.
Originally, the books were to go to another ministry, but they had difficulty facilitating getting the container through customs and then housing all the books, so CRI found us. With the books finally in South Africa we’re going to do our part to get this other ministry a portion of the materials so they can also get them in the hands of South African pastors.
I urge you to check out the Christian Resources International and read about all the other ministries they are helping send books to. Thanks, Fred, for this huge donation!

Yes, it is a huge blessing! Though, I will say that it’s not very fun unloading 30,000 pounds of anything. Intern Power!
